About Course
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology
The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology is a postgraduate degree program focused on the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, and protozoa, along with their role in health, environment, agriculture, food, and biotechnology. The M.Sc. Microbiology program at SGSGIPS provides students with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills in various areas of microbiology.
The program offers students comprehensive knowledge of Microbial Physiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Medical Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Microbial Genetics. Students gain hands-on experience through laboratory work, practical training, seminars, workshops, projects, and research-oriented activities
SGSGIPS is a girl's degree college having a secured campus. We have well-established laboratories equipped to provide students with practical exposure and subject knowledge. We provide opportunities for seminars, workshops, guest lectures, educational visits, and project work to enhance students' scientific knowledge, research skills, communication abilities, and overall personality development.
The primary objective of the M.Sc. Microbiology program is to prepare students for successful careers in research, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food industries, biotechnology, quality control, environmental science, education, and other microbiology-related fields
